A large monument and historical plaque mark the area where Joseph Fortier, Irenee Fortier and Fernand Drouin lost their lives during that tragic day in 1963.

At Reesor Siding abandonment was complete as the few developed side roads are no longer maintained or passable except only during fair weather.
